What it does

Ten capabilities. One module.

Every capability listed below is included in the base module. No add-ons, no unlock fees, no per-seat surcharges. If you're on xRESTAURANTx, you have this.

1

QR-at-table payment

Check screen shows a QR. Guest scans with their wallet, confirms amount and tip, pays. No app install for the guest, no operator wallet on your device.

2

Lightning & on-chain BTC

Bitcoin support on both rails. Lightning for small, fast tickets. On-chain for larger settlements. The module picks the right rail based on ticket size and your threshold.

3

USDC on multiple L2s

USDC on Ethereum mainnet and on major rollups. Rollups deliver seconds-to-settle at cents-per-transaction, which is where most crypto acceptance actually lives today.

4

ETH and select major assets

ETH acceptance for guests who prefer it. The support list is maintained centrally; when new rails become reliable, they appear as toggles on your settings screen.

5

Instant conversion rail

Every crypto payment auto-converts to the fiat currency of your choice in the same POS transaction. You never hold a token unless you explicitly choose USDC as your settlement asset.

6

Per-location target currency

Miami settles to USD. London settles to GBP. Dubai settles to USD. Same operator, one dashboard, per-location currency rules that match the local books.

7

Tip inclusion identical to card

Same tip screen, same suggested percentages, same driver payouts through the payouts module. Guest enters tip in fiat; the wallet quote adjusts for the total.

8

On-chain receipt storage

Every completed transaction stores the hash and the receipt alongside the order in the POS record. Audit trail is verifiable on the public chain forever.

9

No chargebacks

Once a crypto payment settles, it is final. No 30-day risk window, no processor dispute pulls, no chargeback fee. Refunds are separate outbound payments you initiate and control.

10

Tax-ready export

Month-end export includes every payment, token received, fiat settled, fair-market value at settlement, and the network fee. Ready for your accountant, no reconciliation gymnastics.

Tutorial

How to use it. Step by step.

Every operator we onboard runs this same tutorial in their first week. Most complete it in one sit-down; guests are transacting inside the same shift.

01

Pick your target settlement currency

USD, USDC, EUR, GBP, or any fiat the platform supports in your region. Every crypto payment auto-converts to this the moment it lands. Books stay in one currency; you never touch a token.

💡 Most US operators pick USD. Operators who want a purely digital treasury pick USDC. There is no wrong answer; you can change it later.
02

Toggle on the rails you want

BTC on-chain, BTC on Lightning, USDC on Ethereum, USDC on a rollup, ETH, and any other supported asset. Pick the rails your guests actually use; ignore the rest.

💡 If you have no idea what your guests want, turn on Lightning and USDC on a rollup. Between those two, you cover 90+ percent of restaurant-scale crypto payments today.
03

Print or display the QR

The check screen shows a QR. Guest scans with their wallet, confirms the amount and tip, and pays. No app install, no operator wallet, no seed phrase anywhere on your device.

💡 Servers do not need to know anything about crypto. The screen is the same as the card screen with one extra button. If a guest asks a question, the answer is always the same: "scan it, confirm the amount, done."
04

Confirm settlement

The POS shows PAID the moment the transaction is final. Lightning is instant. USDC on a rollup is seconds. BTC on-chain uses same-block confirmation for amounts under a configurable threshold.

05

Export at month end

The month-end export includes every crypto payment, the token received, the fiat settled, the fair-market-value at time of settlement, and the network fee. Ready for your accountant, no reconciliation gymnastics.

💡 Because conversion is instantaneous, your books look identical to a card processor's books. No capital-gains tracking, no cost-basis math. The tax story is boring, which is what you want.

Included in every deployment.

xRESTAURANTx modules are not sold separately. Bundle everything, you pay one flat rate keyed to your restaurant's size, not a per-module upsell.

Fine dining, crypto-native guests in Vegas, Miami, and Dubai FINE DINING

High-end guest at a chef's table drops the wallet on the check. Total is $2,400 including wine pairing. Pays in BTC over Lightning, tip added, settled to USD in the same POS transaction. Server sees PAID, guest gets the receipt, house never touched a token.

  • Whale-tier tickets on Lightning clear in seconds with sub-dollar fees
  • Tip works exactly as card, so servers get paid out the same shift
  • Guest gets an on-chain receipt they can prove forever, house books stay in USD
FINE DINING

Fast casual, delivery orders from emerging-market corridors FAST CASUAL

Delivery-heavy fast casual attracts guests who prefer USDC because their local card system is unreliable or expensive. QR-in-checkout works on the ordering site. Payment settles in USD before the driver picks up the food.

  • USDC on a rollup is cheaper than most card interchange, so unit margin improves
  • No chargebacks means the delivery operator's fraud losses drop noticeably on the crypto rail
  • Guests self-serve, no support ticket, no operator involvement
FAST CASUAL

Franchise, per-location toggle for the units where it matters FRANCHISE

National franchise with 40 units enables crypto only in the 6 units where it's a meaningful share of traffic: two airport locations, a downtown flagship, a resort unit, and two international sites. Everywhere else, crypto is off. Corporate sees one dashboard.

  • Per-location toggle means you don't have to explain crypto to every GM in the system
  • Per-location settlement currency matches each unit's local books
  • Corporate rolls up total crypto share of revenue in the analytics dashboard

Ghost kitchen, marketplace tips in USDC that settle overnight GHOST KITCHEN

Ghost operation runs 24/7 across five virtual brands. Guests tipping in USDC through the marketplace get instant settlement. Crew payouts through the same payouts module clear before the next shift starts. Nobody waits three days for a card batch.

  • Zero settlement float means working capital stays with the operator, not the processor
  • Same-night crew payouts include crypto tips at fair-market value
  • Ghost brand P&L includes the crypto rail as a separate revenue line for clarity

FAQ

Answers before you have to ask.

Do I need to hold crypto or manage a wallet?

No. That's the whole point of the module. Every crypto payment auto-converts to the fiat currency you select the moment it settles. You never see a token on your balance sheet unless you specifically choose to hold USDC as your settlement currency.

What about the volatility risk?

There is none for the operator. The conversion happens in the same POS transaction, at the rate quoted when the guest scans the QR. If BTC moves 5 percent while the guest is still deciding on tip, that's absorbed by the conversion rail, not by you. Your check settled for exactly the fiat amount shown.

How do transaction fees compare to card interchange?

For Lightning and rollup USDC, fees are typically well under card interchange (which runs 1.6 to 3.5 percent). BTC on-chain fees can be higher for small tickets, so the module suggests Lightning for anything under a threshold you set. Net-of-fees, most operators come out ahead.

Are these payments final, or can they be reversed?

Final. Once a crypto payment settles, it cannot be charged back. This is a significant advantage over card. If you need to refund a guest for a legitimate reason, you do so as a separate outbound payment, which you initiate and control.

Does tipping work the same way?

Yes. Same tip screen as a card payment, same tip percentage suggestions, same driver payouts through the payouts module. The guest enters the tip in fiat; the wallet quote adjusts, and the crypto amount for the total (bill plus tip) is what gets scanned.

Which assets and networks are supported?

Bitcoin (on-chain and Lightning), USDC (on Ethereum mainnet and on major rollups), ETH, and select major stablecoins on high-throughput networks. The support list is maintained centrally; when new rails become reliable, they appear as toggles on the settings screen.

Can I toggle crypto acceptance on a per-location basis?

Yes. A franchise or multi-unit operator can enable crypto only in the locations where it makes sense (a downtown flagship, an airport unit, a resort location) and leave it off elsewhere. Same for the target settlement currency; a Miami location can settle to USD while a London location settles to GBP.

How does this show up in my taxes?

Every payment is booked at the fiat value at settlement. Because the conversion is instantaneous, there is no holding period, so there is no capital gain or loss on your side. Your books look identical to card-processor books: gross sales in fiat, fees in fiat, net deposits in fiat. The export gives your accountant everything they need.
